Duck Dynasty suspension over gay slander? 12/20/2013

If you get offended easily you will probably be offended by this but all well. So A&E suspended The show Duck Dynasty: I didn't really like the whole 2 episodes I have watched of it. Not because I've been offended but because if I want to go watch rednecks live their lives I can go to Branson and watch it live lol. The second thing is they are suspending the show because Phil quoted the bible on what he believes the same way he they always do in the show. In this he said that he believes that being gay is wrong. He said that homosexuals won't go to heaven. Now here is what I have to say about it: Phil is an American and he has the right to publicly say that, HE also has the right to believe that. That is what many Christians in America believe. My opinion is what I choose to do is between me and God. You are welcome to tell me that you personally believe what I am doing is wrong. That is as long as I can tell you my stance on things. What he said is nothing that the LGBTQIAPD community has not heard before. He was not being offensive by saying what he said. He simply stated that he doesn't believe it is right. He did not say that he is against gays, or that he hates gays. He only said it is a sin. According to the Bible he is correct. How can those of us in the LGBTQIAPD community expect to get our rights if we don't we don't allow others to have there rights. If we want people outside of the LGBTIAPD community to accept us into there society, then we need to be able to accept that not everyone agrees with being Gay. Just because someone does not believe being LGBTIAPD is the right way doesn't mean that they won't accept that some people are. To be accepted you have to accept. Even though I am not a Duck Dynasty fan, I still believe A&E was wrong to suspend the show. We need to be able to co exist. So for other people in and out of the LGBTQIAPD community who did get offended maybe you should keep this in mind.
